Junior Confirmation

We believe it is important for Christians to have the word of God impressed upon their hearts. At St. Peter, we strive toward this goal by reading the Bible and memorizing key passages of the holy scripture.

In the past, Bible readings and memory work were assigned and completed during the time Jr. Confirmation was in class. We recognize that this can place extra work and stress on a child at that time. In order to alleviate this problem, we are making the Bible readings and memory work available to anyone who is preparing for Jr. Confirmation (not just for those who are in the class). The congregation is free to make use of these materials, as well, for their own edification.

  • Homework
There are 5 homework assignments each week; homework may be completed at your own pace, but we recommend completing one assignment per-night. Due dates are given to pace the student through the homework, but they are only guidelines. A child must complete the assignments for the previous year before they are allowed to enroll in the next year of Jr. Confirmation. All homework must be completed prior to Confirmation and receiving the Lord’s Supper.
